About the Artist
I studied at Bath Academy of Art for 3 years in the 1960's and was rewarded with a Diploma in Art and Design, specialising in ceramics.
It wasn't until the early 90's though, that I started to paint, firstly in watercolour then soft pastels which I still love to use.
By eagerly experimenting with different mediums I have moved on to acrylics and textured mediums, which I find exciting to both work with and to look at.
I exhibited at Holmefirth Art Week for the first time in 2007 and was honoured to be awarded the Calder Graphics Prize for my painting "Bring Me Sunshine" which subsquently sold.
I have a passion for water and much of my work portrays it. Usually fast moving water, where I strive to make the water come alive for the viewer.
My studio is open at weekends by appointment via email or phone:07772590563
